I am directed by the Board of Frade to transmit

herewith, for Mr. Secretary Harcourt's information, copy

of a letter which has been received in this Department

from Kesers Joseph Baker and Sons, Jimited of Willesden

Junction, N.W. relative to their desire to ship from

Amsterdam direct to long kong a consig ment of "Horit"

(a substance used in declorising suger syrups, which is

manufactured in the etherlands of materials of Germa n

origin.

The Board would be glad of a reply could be

sent direct from your Department to lessrs Baker, and to

be favoured with a copy of such reply.
